Bright sunny days and a little bit of rain have seen the Japanese Knotweed rear its ugly head in abundance, along with the ground elder, horsetail, couch grass and bindweed, Philip MacMillan Browse cheerfully tells me they got rid of the Knotweed at Heligan by hoeing...it took 9 years.
The pigs are now pork. The Who'd Have Thought It at Milton Combe has been an enthusiastic customer. The proprietor/chef there, Chris Lisney has a way with belly pork and Puy lentils that is enough to make a grown man weep with joy. Go and taste it now!
